Brain-based therapies are the fastest growing field in psychological health because of their proven ability to produce rapid and effective changes that can take much longer with traditional talk therapy.  Dr. David Grand has combined the strength of both brain-based therapies and the relationship between the client and therapist into a powerful technique called Brainspotting.  It combines techniques from EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and SE (somatic experiencing). I have been amazed at the permanent and quick healing that clients have achieved.

“My goal is to equip you with tools that actually change your brain.”

We will work together to uncover areas that keep you stuck and train your brain to heal, get unstuck and thrive!

Brainspotting is a brain-body relational method. It is a powerful, focused treatment that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neuro-physiological sources of emotional and physical pain, and unhealthy coping mechanisms associated with PTSD and emotional trauma. It allows the client to channel the healthy "head" knowledge they possess to transform debilitating traumatic memories and the negative beliefs they feel in relation to the incident.

Dr David Grand has combined the strengths of both brain-based therapy and the importance of the relationship between the client and the therapist from talk therapy into a powerful technique he calls Brainspotting®

Emotional Trauma does not necessarily mean you have to be a war veteran. Any life event which causes significant physical or emotional injury and distress, in which the person powerfully experiences being overwhelmed, helpless, or trapped, can become a traumatic experience.  Symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss can become present.
